T.Caffra is a vine in the Menispermaceae family that grows throughout much of eastern Africa. Its large leaves make it look extremely lush as it grows up to a maximum height of 5 meters.
It does not go into hibernation where watering must be stopped completely, but loses its leaves in winter when it is watered less than during its growth period in summer.
The plant grows in a mixed soil with both nutrient-rich organic material and some mineral material such as perlite, gravel or volcanic material that ensures drainage. The amount of fertilizer follows the amount of irrigation.
Position it so that the leaves can reach direct sunlight, like most other caudiciforms, the tuber itself does not need Light.
